Goalkeeper

The last line of defence. Goalkeepers need sharp reflexes, brave decision-making, good handling, command of the box, and increasingly, the ability to play out from the back with their feet. Height and concentration help. If you love shot-stopping and stay calm under pressure, this is your role.

Defenders

Defenders stop the opposition from scoring. There are two main types:

How to find your best position

Be honest about your strengths. Quick and direct? Try winger or full-back. Strong and commanding? Centre-back. Great passer who reads the game? Midfield. Cool finisher? Striker.
